Support our neighborhood pocket park!
This .4 acre natural land corner lot in the North Druid Hills area of Atlanta was permanently conserved in 2019 to forever remain natural and be a community park. Southestern Trust for Parks and Land (501-C-3 public charity) acquired the land in November 2018.
Goats were used to clear out an English ivy infestation prior to STPAL’s acquisition. It now has a walking path, more native plants & fewer invasive plants, benches, and will continue to be improved to benefit nature and the community. There will be a focus on bird supportive items at the site.
The goals of the campaign are to create a play area that utilizies natural materials for active and imaginative play and to create a small community area with shade and picnic tables & benches. 100% of funds will be allocated to the direct expenses of the projects for materials and plants for Jan Hll Lane Nature Preserve. A formal report with attached reciepts will be made publiclly available which will document how funds were utilized.
Donations of $250 and more will be listed on a sign at Jan Hill Lane Nature Preserve.
